There are few things as inspiring as taking a brush to canvas outdoors, capturing the beauty of a fleeting moment. This practice, known as Plein Air Painting, traces its roots in Impressionism and Post-Impressionism and has grown into a celebrated tradition with competitions across the country.

The High Bridge Paint Out has become one of the most anticipated cultural events of the year, offering artists a unique opportunity to capture the spirit of plein air painting while showcasing the natural beauty of our area.

Our traditional adult painting division was expanded in 2023 to include a junior division, and in 2025 we are opening up a beyond canvas division,  expanding beyond traditional painting techniques

The Silent Auction on May 4th is open to the public. We suggest starting with a coffee and snack at the Junior Division at Scout's at 1:30pm and working your way up Main Street. The Beyond Canvas division will take place at Old Borough Hall Pottery and the event will culminate at Circa Restaurant with Awards where you can also grab a cocktail and food.
