Event Info
This is a call to all artists to take inspiration from the town of HIGH BRIDGE to conceptualize
works of art and submit them for judging and silent auction.
The PAINT OUT accepts artists 5yr+, and welcomes all mediums to participate.
Traditional Adult Division: The event is held over 7 days from April 26th-May 4th, culminating in a Juried Show & Silent Auction on May 4th at Circa Restaurant in High Bridge. Blank canvases are stamped for entry on Saturday, April 26th at Scout's Coffee Shop from 11-1. Artists are asked to create their High Bridge inspired original work during this 7 day period and submit up to three pieces for auction. Submitted artwork must show proof of date stamped.
Entries must depict scenes within High Bridge Borough or Ken Lockwood Gorge and should be no larger than 24"x16".
Artwork must be at a minimum matted; frames are encouraged but not required, but please make sure you have a way to hang or display your canvas. We will have a limited amount of hardware and easels.
Maximum starting bids cannot exceed $200; Artists receive 70% of sale; 30% supports local arts. Unsold work will be featured in a follow-up online sale for one week

For the Beyond Canvas and Junior Divisions: Artists may begin their artwork as soon as they register, culminating in a Juried Show & Silent Auction on May 4th.
Beyond Canvas formats may include, but not limited to, sculpture, fiber arts, mixed media, silkscreen or lithograph print, collage, animation and photography and must depict scenes within (or be inspired by) High Bridge Borough or Ken Lockwood Gorge.
A maximum of 2 pieces each no larger than 16” in diameter and 24” tall will be accepted for submission to auction.
2-dimensional artwork must be at a minimum matted; frames are encouraged but not required, but please make sure you have a way to display your artwork. We will have a limited amount of easels available.
Junior Division will be displayed on tables at Scout's Coffee Bar and Mercantile.
Beyond Canvas Division will be displayed on tables at Old Borough Hall Pottery. Unsold work can be featured in a follow-up online sale for one week.

Artist Registration : NOW until April 19th
Artists must submit their completed registration forms and the non-refundable $25.00 ($10 for juniors) entry fee to High Bridge Borough, by April 19th.
Traditional Artist Check-In/ Stamping Day : April 26th
Location: Scout's Coffee Bar, 11 Main Street, High Bridge NJ 08829. 11am-1pm
Artists who have registered and plan to compete in the Traditional Adult Division Juried show + silent auction must arrive to check-in and have all surface materials they plan to use for the competition date & time stamped.
'Surfaces’ is used to describe any surface that is used by the artist to create a work of art. Some examples include: paper, canvas, fabric/cloth, and should be no larger than 24" x 16".
There is no limit to how many surfaces can be stamped, however only a max of (3) final pieces per artist may be submitted to the juried show & auction.
