Judges:

Megan Becker: New Jersey Artist and Plein Air Enthusiast 

Megan Becker, a New Jersey based artist, graduated from University of the Arts, in Philadelphia, receiving her BFA in illustration. Megan works as a full time art restorer and freelance artist. She has taught at various art centers including the Visual Art Center of New Jersey, The Center for Contemporary Art, the Hunterdon Art Museum, and the Princeton Arts Council. Megan takes inspiration from the nature and can often be found on local trails with her traveling watercolor set. Trained in the fine arts, she is inspired by organic forms such as flora, fabrics, and the female figure. She work’s in a variety of mediums particularly oils, watercolors, and graphite, seeking new ways to capture dramatic lighting and subtle tones. Megan’s work has been featured in galleries and small businesses throughout New Jersey, often displayed in hand-restored, vintage frames, for that curious and unique touch. Megan enjoys working in the company of her animals and loves getting lost in the details.

Robbie-Lynn Mwangi

Robbie-Lynn Mwangi is the Curator of Education & Public Programs at the Red Mill Museum Village. She supports the community of artists in Northern Hunterdon County as the organizer of the Paint The Town Plein Air Event for the Squiers Point Historians of Lebanon Township. Robbie-Lynn is a graphic designer and a three-dimensional artist who works in metal and textiles.

Carol Ayotte

Carol Ayotte is a recently retired Art Educator of 37 years, mainly from the Millburn-Short Hills School District.  An avid supporter of the Arts in our schools, she has obsessively showcased student artwork with yearly art shows and exhibits to highlight the value of Art Education to the community.  Her personal artistry presents as both a woodburn artist and a seasoned crafter, known as "The Wine Bottle Lady".  Repurposing materials to create something beautiful is her life-long passion.
